ProgramsWith our program, Don’t Shake Me, You Might Break Me!, we educate parents and caregivers of all newborns and toddlers about the dangers of shaking a baby or young child. We also teach alternative ways to calm a crying infant or child and we provide resource phone numbers for parents to call for help or crisis. Bubbylonian Encounter, a key prevention program of CAPCO, teaches children about good touch, bad touch and forced sexual touch. Over the years of it’s existence Bubbylonian Encounter has empowered many children to come forward and report heinous abuse that was happening to them. Our program, “Real Men Rock!……. Their Kids,” educates our community about the role and importance of fathers in the lives of children. This initiative uses some well recognized men to get out the message that “parenting is the toughest job you’ll ever love……….but it’s hard work.” Community Breakfast SeriesIn a collaborative effort with the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) we are proud to partner and bring the “Community Breakfast Series” to Eaton County. The purpose of the Breakfast Series is to raise public awareness in our community about children’s issues, including child abuse and neglect.
